Tara River Rafting: Dubrovnik to Montenegro

Itinerary

An early start. The drive from Dubrovnik to the Tara River base is roughly

3 to 3.5 hours. Pick up is at your accommodation around 6:30 am. Breakfast

is snacks en route to Montenegro. The river side base has changing

facilities. Once outfitted in wetsuits, helmets and life jackets, an

off-road vehicle transports rafters upstream to the “put in” spot. Your

time on the river is roughly 2 hours; rapids in the summer months are

class II and III. Rafting is followed by a hearty mountain meal of hot soup, home baked bread, local cheese, grilled meats and vegetable, and dessert served riverside and with a spectacular view. The return drive typically

arrives in Dubrovnik around 7:30 pm.
