About this activity
Drive up the the Adriatic coast to the small Adriatic town Neum. After a short break in Neum we will turn towards the inland through the picturesque canyon of Neretva river up to Pocitelj. The fortress town Pocitelj is a well preserved example of oriental architecture located on a hill side above the river. Afterwards the tour continues to Mostar.
Mostar was named after Mostari which means ''bridge keepers'' who guarded the Old Bridge over Neretva river. The Old Bridge is one of the town's most recognizable landmarks and one of the most important structures of the Ottoman era. From 2005 it is on the UNESCO's World Heritage List. Experience sights such as the Old Baazar filled with traditional handicrafts and many old mosques. Enjoy in the authentic food in one of the picturesque local restaurants.

It was an ok day. Mostar was the star. Full of Turkish souvenirs. Sad. Most of the bus didn't realise we visited the falls first. Very annoyed 2hrs out of your Mostar visit. You had exactly 2.5 hrs in Mostar. Lunch took an hour and then 90mins to try and walk from one end of town to the other looking at everything and trying to enjoy it. Guide was an escort not a guide. She was from Portugal. No real history given. Driver was from Sarajevo. Lovely man. Van had holes in the areas where the airconditioing vents should be. Squeezed in like sardines. Pretty pictures but would have rather driven straight to Mostar and straight back. We even heard the guide/escort complaining about her group to other guides when we were at the water falls. We went with Lea tours. Bad behaviour
-Minivan did not have functioning air conditioning, we were wilting in the vehicle in 30 degrees Celsius heat -Guide did not know when to keep quiet. Already irritated by the heat he went on to play loud classical music that did nothing except spike our blood pressures -Guide talked about things unrelated to the tour/sights. He may be trying to build rapport but it was very badly done. We had 20 mins to visit Počitelj; more than 15 mins were spent on talking about the local pomegranate juice instead of letting us roam around the place -We have been to 50 countries and this is the worst day trip ever
A long coach ride but absolutely worth it for the stunning scenery and the opportunity to stand on the famous bridge.
Great trip! The guide was thoughtful and funny and really wanted to make sure we were enjoying the day. He gave us a good amount of information - not too much and he was knowledgable enough to answer everyone's questions. The views during the journey were beautiful and despite being on the side of a mountain for much of the time in the van, I felt safe with out guide driving carefully. Mostar was definitely worth seeing and I am really happy I did this trip.
