About this activity
On this adventurous ATV tour, discover Kangaroo Island as you navigate a wide variety of terrain within some 500 acres (202 hectares) of open grassland and pristine native bush. It doesn't matter if you're a first-timer or an experienced rider; guides tailor the ride to the conditions and your ability. Even if it’s raining, wet weather gear is provided along with a chance to get a lot of mud and puddle action.
As you zip along, hear informative commentary from your guide about the island and enjoy stunning views of the Southern Ocean and wildlife that may include kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, wallabies, goannas, birdlife and more.
All tours begin by equipping each person with the provided safety gear followed by a comprehensive safety talk. Next, your guide explains how to operate the ATV safely and watches as each person takes laps on a practice track. After approximately 30 minutes of set up and practice, follow your guide as you set out for your tour, choosing from the options listed in the Itinerary below.
With a wide range of bikes suitable for all ages and abilities, riders as young as 6 years old can ride an ATV. My husband and I booked an excursion for an all-terrain quad tour. Our tour guide was Sam who was so great! He was very friendly and knowledgable of stops along the tour where we could see different wildlife, as well as beautiful views. We had such a great time, and Sam recommended we visit Little Sahara for sand sledding which we did the next day. That was also a new and fun experience!
We did the Beach Adventure/Edge of the Earth tour and it was soooo much fun!! The tour guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and great fun! I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to KI, it really is a must-do!

Quad bike tour was amazing. Great fun and educational too. I learnt more about KI during my quad bike tour than anywhere else. My 12 year old son and me were lucky to have our Guide Krissy all to ourselves. She was knowledgeable and great fun. We will certainly visit again. My son talks about little else.....
