Dunedin Shore Excursion: Coastal Train and Olveston House

At 10am we will depart the port for a full-commentary coach tour round the outskirts of the city taking in the 'dress circle' of Dunedin's original homes of the wealthy settlers, to a lookout overlooking the city, up the world's steepest street, through the University campus, out to the Peninsula high road for spectacular harbor, rural and ocean views
We set you down at Olveston House for a 1 hour tour of the house with its global collection of stately treasures.
In the afternoon you will travel by train from Dunedin through the cities picturesque harbor side suburbs, followed by views over Port Chalmers and Careys Bay, along the cliff tops overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Blue Skin Bay. Throughout this round trip journey there will be some magnificent photo opportunities.
The train will drop you back near the historic church in the Port Chalmers township. A short 10 minute walk back to the Port Visitor Centre, via the vibrant Port Chalmers village with a wide range of art & culture from potters and sculptors to painters, musicians, jewellers and fashion designers. Returning back to your ship at approximately 3:30pm.
