Stop At: Falkland Palace & Garden, 11 miles north of Kirkcaldy, Falkland KY15 7BY Scotland
The palace was the countryside home for many of the Stuart royalty. They would make use of the woodland areas in the vicinity to hunt.

Day 2: Royal Deeside Area - full day touring
Stop At: Castle Fraser Garden & Estate, Sauchen AB51 7LD Scotland
Stand before one of the largest tower houses in the land. Dating from the 15th century, Castle Fraser is a fabulous place to soak up the atmosphere of old Scotland and its colourful stories. Enjoy panoramic views and discover quirky features such as secret staircases, hidden trapdoors, a spy hole and a wooden leg.

Day 3: Fyvie Castle - Brodie Castle - Culloden - Forres
Stop At: Brodie Castle, Off A96 20 Miles East of Inverness, 4 Miles West of Forres, Forres IV36 2TE Scotland
A 16th century mansion that belonged to the Brodie Clan until 1980. And Culloden moor is the resting place of those lost in the final land battle to have taken place in Great Britain.

A magnificent fortress in the heart of Aberdeenshire, Fyvie Castle’s 800-year history is rich in legends, folklore and even ghost stories. Discover the amazing collection of antiquities, armour and lavish oil paintings. Stroll around the picturesque loch, or visit the restored glass-roofed racquets court and ice house.

Day 4: Dalwhinnie Distillery - Loch Leven Castle - Edinburgh

Dalwhinnie is the highest Distillery in Scotland and takes its waters right from the source of the River Spey.

Stop At: Loch Leven National Nature Reserve, Kinross KY13 8EU Scotland
In the middle of the Loch you find Lochleven Castle, a late 14th-century tower, which was the setting for the most traumatic year in the life of Mary Queen of Scots.
You can enjoy a boat ride over to the island and explore at your own leisure before we return back over the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh.
