JIm was our driver. He did a great job of reviewing the history of the castle as it relates to Scottish royal history. Broke up the trip with good stops at interesting spots. Three hours at the castle but could have used 4. Recommend this trip.

Despite the rain Alnwick Castle was good. Our last stop which was meant to be Berwick on Tweed the driver decided to not go there and took us to North Berwick without asking the group. Was beautiful scenery but couldn't see anything as it was raining and must. Which you can not help the weather. The driver Jan was interesting and informative.

This was an amazing tour and our tour guide, Jude, was outstanding! After leaving the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh, we arrived in a lovely town called Kelso. We stopped there to pick up something for breakfast. This town looked like it stood still in time. I had the best sandwich in my life in this town. We continued then towards the border of Scotland and England. Jude recommended we walk across the border, which we did. We arrived in Alnwick Castle which was beautiful with rolling hills and lots of treasures. We saw numerous pheasants walking across the grounds. On our way back, Jude drove past the coast, we stopped in a town for fish and chips and to buy wool sweaters. This tour was definitely worth taking!
