Edinburgh City Tour and Leisure Time Shore Excursions from Edinburgh

You will be met at the port by a Cruising Excursions representative who will then guide you to your air-conditioned transportation ready to commence your tour.
The journey to Edinburgh takes approximately 30-40 minutes depending on which port your cruise ship has ported in. This tour will take you on a delightful panoramic tour of the famous sites in Edinburgh with stops along the way allowing you time if you wish to enter the Edinburgh Castle (tickets are not included but can be purchased), other stops include the Holyrood Palace (closed without notice when the Royal Family are in residence) for photo opportunities.
After the 1-hour panoramic tour of Edinburgh you will be allowed free time to experience Edinburgh on your own, discover the famous Princes Street which is very well known for the many shops and restaurants this area offers.
Your driver/guide will be able to give you as much information about the area during the panoramic tour, they will also be able to assist you with recommendations of restaurants or places to eat.
The Royal Mile is a wonderful historic street going from Edinburgh Castle down to the Hill past St Giles Cathedral and the site of the Old tollbooth. In the popular book ' Outlander' the Tollbooth is where Jamie Fraser's men were held. There are more 'Outlander sites as you walk the Royal Mile
After the leisure time / free time we will make our way to the Royal Yacht for a short photo stop from here you will be returned back to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
There is some walking involved and we would recommend you wear comfortable footwear.
