great time
our secound visit with viator to a hard rock cafe was it as good as rome no but well we are at home but all the same we did enjoy our evening there and the locatoin is very handy for all the tourist hotspots again the price was cheap and the unlimted soft drinks are a bonus
Good value for money. But you may still have to wait a wile to be served.
Having recently visited the hard rock cafe in Barcelona myself and my partner were keen to give the one in Edinburgh a shot for food during a last minute trip we booked. I found out about the gold and diamond menu as I work for British Airways and it's something we sell frequently to our customers via viator the tour supplier. We booked the week before and got a voucher which was easily readable and accessible. We paid 19.50 each for 3 courses and soft drinks included, we didn't need to book as we had priority seating but as it was mid week it wasn't really an issue. The guy who greeted us on arrival was very friendly and helpful and welcoming as was the girl who worked in the shop. The next waiter that greeted us to serve us if I'm honest I felt was a bit cock sure of himself. Anyway we ordered our meals and noticed straight away that looking at the menu we could see due to the prices it was a really good offer, we opted for the lil bruchetta for starters which was devine but huge, next we opted for the legendary burgers, we did have quite a wait considering the place was half empty and to my dismay when my burger arrived and i eagerly cut into it the meat was luke warm and the cheese wasn't even melted on top just looked like plastic. My boyfriend them realised his was the same and I got the waiter to come back,he whipped the burgers away and said he would 'sort it'. Imagine my shock horror when 10 minutes later the burgers rearruve, the bun slightly browner and crispier, the cheese slightly more melted the bacon crisped to a pulp and the burger only slightly Warmer than before, next my shock horror that they had reheated the burger I sent back and put it in a new bun with a bite out of the burger. Now I have no issue with having my food heated but I have never ever known this happen in a restaurant. Disheartened and disappointed we moved onto the dessert, which we couldn't fault and the cocktail I ordered was spot on extra charge Sadly the mains tainted it!
Mediocre food
