About this activity

Edinburgh's Old Town is so mysterious and fascinating with an incredible past and so many stories to tell - and we'll share them with you on this wonderful very small group (max 6 guests) walking tour. Edinburgh is one of the world's most beautiful cities - we all know about Edinburgh Castle - but the real gems in the city are hidden and only accessible on foot, especially in this part of Edinburgh, and that's why we designed our Old Town Hidden Gems Walking Tour.

We think that Edinburgh locals will be amazed on this tour, discovering the stories about the past that will make them look at their city through fresh eyes and we say that because we've lived in Edinburgh for 30 years and have learned so much designing this tour! For visitors to the city, our guide will bring the streets alive for you, telling you tales of intrique and bloodshed, revealing the beauty and setting the scene for the stories about the characters who walked these same streets across centuries.

Along the way we'll bring to life Edinburgh's past and tell you the tales of theft and murder, romance and battle of Edinburgh's past and the famous characters like Robert Burns, Deacon Brodie and JK Rowling. We'll show you closes, alleys, terraces and hidden gardens, We've absolutely loved putting this Hidden Gem tour together and can't wait to share our tales with you. You can even bring your dog (we will be visiting a couple of indoor places they won't be able to access) after all we will be walking past the most famous dog statue in the world!

We can't wait to share the Edinburgh we love and know so well with you on this Hidden Gems walking tour.
