One of the most photographed harbours in Scotland. This is a drive by if on route to the distillery for a tour, but a stop if taking coffee/tea in the village

Kingsbarns Distillery, sits on a charming converted 18th-century farmstead on the edge of the North Sea. At the visitors centre, learn about the history of the area then go behind the scenes of the distillery and learn about the process of making the whisky. At the end of the tour head to one of the tasting rooms to sample a dram for yourself. Not a drinker? Have a cup of coffee and homebake cake or scone at the café instead. Stop in to the shop afterwards to pick up a bottle of whisky to take home, at your own expense of course.

You will have 3-4 hours free time in St Andrews, not just at the Golf courses, but in the town, so you can explore the little alleyways, the Castle ruins, quaint shops and take in the architecture of this old town, some buildings dating back to the 16th century. maybe find a place to eat lunch and do some people watching
