We head north towards Fife, past the imposing Forth Bridge. Built in 1890, it is one of Scotland’s greatest man-made landmarks, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stop At: V&A Dundee, 1 Riverside Esplanade, Dundee DD1 4EZ Scotland

Visit though new V&A Museum in Dundee; Scotland’s first design museum and a vision of contemporary architecture overlooking the River Tay.

Stop At: St. Andrews, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland

Our next destination is St Andrews; home to world-famous golf courses and Scotland’s oldest university. Enjoy plenty of free time to explore the beautiful beaches and romantic ruins of the castle and cathedral. Treat yourself to a locally made ice cream or some tasty fish and chips.

Stop At: Anstruther, Anstruther, Fife, Scotland

Our last stop is in the quaint fishing town of Anstruther. Anstruther is the largest in a string of pretty, old-fashioned fishing villages along the East Fife coast known as the East Neuk, and is especially known for its historical connection to the sea and the fishing way of life.

Wonderful 8 hour day trip away from the city to a lovely part of the Scottish coastline. Beautiful town and castle/cathedral ruins made the trip a very picturesque and relaxing setting for a day trip. Very much enjoyed working with the Highland Explorer Tours company.
