Perito Moreno Glacier Tour with Safari boat
Leaving from Calafate we take the provincial route Nº11 that, during the first 40 km, it runs besides the main body of the Argentino Lake. In this part of the tour we enjoy panoramic views of the lake and the stepperian landscape.
Once in Los Glaciares National Park, we drive through the Magallanic forest up to the end of the road, where we find the balconies and walkways. The idea of this excursion is to spend some time walking around the balconies, enjoying the different views of the glacier and having your lunch. For having lunch you have access to a restaurant or snack bar (for fast food). After lunch you will board on the catamaran to navigate the Rico Arm, which lets you appreciate the icebergs from the Perito Moreno Glacier ice walls.
The boat paces at a reasonable distance from the glacier allowing to appreciate the fallings of ice blocks from the ice wall. It takes one hour and gives the possibility to see a completely different view of unbelievable formations and colours of the Glacier.
