Rafting El Chalten Full Day - fromEl Calafate

For those ones who do not have the possibility of staying in El Chaltén, we offer making the Rio de las Vueltas RAFTING EXPERIENCE tour, departing from El Calafate at 8:00a.m and returning at about 9.30p.m.

The Full Day Program starts with the picking up at the Calafate Hotels, then the trip (220 Km) to El Chaltén arriving at about 10.30 a.m to the meeting point, where our guides receive us, give each passenger the box lunch and show possible paths for short-term to do on their own. 

At 2.30 p.m, passenger reunited for start with the activity of Rafting. The experience starts when the passengers arrive to our head- quarters located in El Chalten, visitors are given the necessary rafting equipment and they are taken with our guides to the river side where they receive information about rafting techniques and safety measures. The first 6 Km have calm and quiet water with the Fitz Roy at your back, ideal to get in touch with the river and practice the techniques that are going to be used later. 

Afterwards, we go over a deep ravine where we are able to enjoy a series of rapids for 9 Km. The speed ok the river keeps you alert up to the last Kilometer where we return to calm water.

Return to El Calafate approximately 9.30 p.m.

Available from 12 years old (from 12 to 18, minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal tutor).

Duration: 12 hs. 

Pick up: From the Hotel in Calafate at 07.30 hs.

Return to El Calafate: 21.30 hs.
