Itinerary

Day 1: Arriving in El Nido & Sunset at Las Cabanas Beach

Stop At: Las Cabanas Beach, El Nido, Palawan Island Philippines
When traveling from abroad to the Philippines, Manila is usually most tourists’ first point of arrival. It is recommended that you avoid the capital altogether and instead simply use its airport as a layover en route to a beach town called El Nido. This is our base from which to explore the area and where our hotel is located. Our tour group will be hanging out at Las Cabanas beach, which is a 10-minute taxi ride away from El Nido. Join us after you have checked into the hotel. Las Cabanas beach is perfect for sunset.

As a natural attraction in its own right, the quiet beach town of El Nido is also a great base from which to explore the surrounding marble cliffs, enchanting lagoons, beaches, lush jungle, mangrove forest, prehistoric caves, and waterfalls. Dotted with islands and islets, most of which are inhabited, Bacuit Bay is home to blue waters and lots of marine life such as dugongs, turtles, manta rays, species of fishes, coral reefs and the occasional whale sharks.

We are taking the organized boat daytrip tour that covers Snake Island, Pinagbuyutan Island, and Entalula Beach. The daytrip boat tours from El Nido are pretty straightforward. For the most part, they do not overlap with each other. Each has its own highlights. All the daytrips offer amazing attractions, not least for today.

Day 5: Relocating to Coron Island & Possible Boat Daytrip

Stop At: Coron Bay, Coron, Busuanga Island Philippines
We are to take a three-hour speedboat from El Nido to Coron Island. We are basing ourselves in the quiet/low-key village of Coron Town. If we arrive early enough, we would make a boat daytrip tour. What do we mean by ‘if’? The duration from El Nido to Coron Island sometimes takes longer than the boat company advertises. Think 6-7 hours rather than the 3 hours the company states. Sometimes it really does take just 3 hours. Sometimes it takes much longer, especially if the waters are very choppy. The day ends with simply hanging out in Coron Town.
Duration: 1 hour

Accommodation included: We finalize room bookings about 10 days before departure. We choose only quality accommodation. We'll keep you posted.

Day 6: Aquatic Views of Sunken Japanese Warships

Stop At: Island Hopping in the Philippines, 25 Don Pedro St, Coron Town Proper, Coron, 5316 Palawan, Philippines
We are to take the organized boat daytrip tour that goes to the sunken Japanese warships. The aquatic views from the sunken Japanese WWII ships off Coron Island are listed in Forbes Traveler Magazine as one of the top-10 best scuba diving sites in the world. Included in the price of your tour is snorkeling. Should you prefer diving, you can pay for and book directly with a local service provider.
Duration: 15 minutes

Meals included:
• Breakfast
• Lunch
Accommodation included: We are making a daytrip from Coron Town. The hotel is there.

Day 7: Boat Tour Daytrip Showing You a Lake, a Lagoon & Arguably the Most Amazing Coral on Earth

Stop At: Siete Pecados, Coron, Busuanga Island Philippines
We are to take the organized boat daytrip grand tour that covers Siete Pecados (a.k.a. Isles of the Seven Sins), Lake Kayangan, and the Twin Lagoon.

Siete Pecados is where you see arguably the most amazing coral on earth. Lake Kayangan and the Twin Lagoon are also amazing. As its name suggests, the Twin Lagoon is two separate bodies of water divided by limestone karsts. At high tide, the second lagoon appears inaccessible. There is a small hole in the karsts that you can swim under in order to get to the other side. For those who prefer to climb over the rock formation, a wooden ladder rests above the hole.
