The tour of the Emmerdale set is a guided walking tour with coach transport from Leeds city centre included. It’s a real privilege to gain access on one of the few days the crew downs scripts in between shoots as the set is not normally open to the public. It’s also amazing to see how realistic the whole village set up is - despite the fact that those ever-so-familiar buildings are actually just timber framed, stone-clad temporary structures! Only exterior scenes are filmed here, as all the interiors of places like Home Farm and the cafe are actually at ITV’s studios in Leeds.
