Rota Vicentina circular hike including a picnic: S. Luís has always been rich in resources exploited by mining, cork extraction, lumber production, cattle farming… we will discover all these activities along the 3.5km hike. At the halfway mark we'll break for a picnic.

In São Luís a large community of artists from multiple nationalities meets, we will find them in an old haberdashery that transformed into a cultural and artistic space. Here we will have a special program: with materials derived from nature - plants, leaves, clay - we create unique pieces that we will take at the end to remind us of this beautiful region of Portugal.

Day 3: Odemira

Boat trip from Vila Nova de Milfontes to Odemira, along the Mira River. During the course we get to know the life story of Dona São: it was in the 70's, before the Milfontes Bridge, her father began to cross the Mira River, transporting people, animals, vehicles and goods, whether it was winter. It was in 1990 that Dona Saint replaces her father in this office, and it will be she who will take us to Odemira.

Leisure afternoon to visit the village of Odemira, highlighting the sixteenth-century church of Misericórdia with an impressive array of frescoes. Possibility to climb to Cerro dos Moinhos Juntos and visit the windmill built in 1874 and still in operation today.

Day 4: Santa Clara-a-Velha

In the quiet village of Santa Clara-a-Velha, you will experience the purity of the mysticism of Alentejo. The dam is named after this village, an unexpected lake in the immense mountain range in the vast council of Odemira. We'll set off on a 10 km hike, through country dominated by aquatic vegetation with acacias, mimosas, poplars, ash trees, willows, junks and others. Watercress and pennyroyal cover the shallow ends of rivers outside of flood season and the deeper parts are covered in water lily. The fertile lands by the river have vegetable gardens and groves with orange trees, fig trees and olive trees.
