Stretching out over 60km of unspoilt coastline, the Ria Formosa Natural Park is an amazing sight to behold and an excellent place to escape from the typical beach holiday.

The barrier island system of Ria Formosa, which protects a warm-water lagoon with its mosaic of salt marshes, islets and tidal mud flats. This unique environment harbours many resident and migratory birds and offers shelter to other threatened species of fish, plants and animals.

Two and half hours of gentle riding, mainly flat terrain, minimal effort required, suitable for most people whether a cyclist or not.
