My husband and I have booked several tours in all continents through Viator and so far this has been the best! The route is the opposite from the usual, Mohamed our guide was very attentive from our pick up in Fez. He was very approachable, took the time to explain lots of cultural facts. All of his recommendations were top notch, places to eat, accommodations and recommendations to get the best picture shot. He accommodated the tour according to our taste, so we spent less time on small stops and longer in the Desert. He spoke fluently english, french and spanish so we had no worry communicating around. We met amazing people on our journey, the tour was very culturally focused and felt no rush at all. We arrived with tons of time to the desert, compared to other groups that had barely time to ride and enjoy sunset. We have been in different deserts and these dunes are so orange that at sunset/sunrise they turn quite red, however we were lucky because we had full moon and had just rained the day before so the sand was dark and compact. The camp was clean, we had a tent for ourselves. At night there was no show/ music, but we preferred that way anyways so it was quiet and could enjoy the beautiful sky. On the way to Marrakesh we had very interesting stops, we took the long route to drive through beautiful Atlas. I was amazed by the valleys and dramatic change in colors, it was definitely the trip of the year, we would love to go back and take a 4 or 5 day tour instead.
