5-Day Private Desert Tour from Fez

DAY1: FES

Welcome at the airport. Transfer and check-in at the hotel.

 

DAY 2: FES – IFRANE – AZROU – ERFOUD

Pick-up at the hotel at 8.00am. Heading to Merzouga by crossing the Middle Atlas on 350 km from the southwest to the northeast of the country. We will pass through little villages like Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Swissland because of the architecture of its houses and Azrou one of the most famous berber town in Morocco. We will then cross the valley and the Ziz gorges, pass through Midelt and spend the night in Erfoud. Accomodation and dinner.

 

DAY 3: ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

We will enjoy the most beautiful part of oriental Sahara, drive inside the desert with the 4X4 visit the nomad villages, will see an oasis and ride camels through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Following the route we will visit the famous village of Khamlia and meet the Gnawa people and listen to their folk music. At dusk we will return to the hotel and ride camels until the berber camp at the heart of the dunes where we’ll have dinner and spend the night.

 

DAY 4: RISSANI – ZIZ VALLEY – MIDDLE ATLAS – FES

Starting the day with an unforgettable view of the sunrise in the desert we’ll ride the camels to go back to the hotel and have breakfast. On the way back to Fes we will pass through Tafilalt, Rissani (old capital of the Alawi sultans), Azrou and Ifrane. In the National Park of Azrou we will relax in the monkey forest where we will be able to observe them and feed them. Back at Fes at dusk. Accomodation and dinner.

 

DIA 5: FES

Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to the airport.
