Itinerary

Day 1: Sahara Adventure

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
You will be met at your Hotel by your driver and depart Fes for Merzouga in
the morning. Experience spectacular views of cedar forests, visit the Barbary
Apes at Ifrane and tour through the beautiful Midelt on route. For lunch we
recommend stopping for a Moroccan BBQ at
Zaida, close to Midelt –you can take the lead from your driver.
Travel through the Ziz valley and view the Efous oasis which offers amazing
photographic opportunities.
Arrive late in the afternoon for your night in Merzouga, at the Luxury Camp
one of Morocco’s two large seas of sand dunes, marking the start of the real
Sahara Desert. With some of the dunes in this area rising to over 245 metres,
the colors of the rising and setting sun over these dunes make for a truly
magical experience.
Here your driver will introduce you to your nomad guide for your overnight
camel excursion. Your guide will take you into the desert, approximately a 11⁄2
- 2 hour ride by camel. When you reach your bivouac you can relax, climb the

dunes or just star gaze while your guide prepares your evening meal and sets
up your campfire for you.

appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes - changing with the light as
the day progresses. After breakfast in the riad, you’ll leave for Rissani , Tinghir, and Todra gorges -
the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge we’ll drive through
the Dades Valley then we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazat.
The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs – providing numerous
opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaa Mgouna,
"the rose city", to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after
your trip is over. Continue to Skoura and the dirds valley; visit the Kasbah Ameridil, a well-preserved
kasbah in this area. After some hiking in the valley stop in a restaurant, overlooking the whole valley,
for lunch. On to Ouarzazate , “the Hollywood of Africa”, whose geography and beautiful landscapes
