Turkish Bath Experience in Fethiye

Begin your Turkish bath experience with a pickup from your centrally located Fethiye hotel in the morning. Then, sit back and relax as you travel to one of the town's top hammams.

Head inside and enter a private cubicle to change into your bathing suit and, if you wish, a peştamal (traditional cotton robe). Then, enter the hammam chamber: a steam room with marble platforms, benches and basins. Relax into the steam as it teases the toxins and impurities from your skin, and wait for a while as you build up a sweat.

Next, stretch out on the central, heated marble slab and revel in the sensation as a skilled attendant soaks you in warm, clear water and lathers your body in clouds of soft, sudsy soap. Then, enjoy a vigorous massage as the attendant kneads, strokes and manipulates your body to soothe away any stresses, strains and knots.

Next, enjoy an energetic loofah scrub to cleanse your pores, stimulate your circulation and remove dead skin. For the ultimate effect, choose to upgrade to an oil massage (own expense), with your attendant applying silky soft oil for an extra touch of luxury.

Following your scrub, rinse with hot water from the bathing basins, and perhaps linger in the hot room before retiring to a cool room to relax. The duration of your Turkish bath can vary, but most steam, wash, massage and scrub sessions last between an hour and 1.5 hours.

Afterward, enjoy a shower, change back into your clothes and leave the hammam feeling invigorated and relaxed. Your experience then ends with a drop-off back at your hotel.
