Itinerary

A comprehensive experience in one of the most fascinating areas of Tuscany, known all over the world for its wine and its charming countryside, where woods alternate with vineyards and olive groves, in a landscape dotted with Romanesque parish churches, farmhouses, villas and castles of rare beauty. First stop in the Florentine Chianti Classico, in a small cozy Winery. Here, guided by the owner, you will discover the secrets of winemaking and enjoy a delicious tasting of the best wines produced, accompanied by local products. The tour includes later the medieval village of Greve, where you will have free time to admire the famous main square of the ancient "market" with its characteristic arcades and the local artisan shops. Through "Via Chiantigiana", you will then reach a family-run Winery, which stands out for the excellent quality of its wines and after the guided tour of the cellars and the lovely aromatic garden, a delicious tasting of four different wines and local products will be waiting for you. The last stop of the Tour is Castellina, a fortified hilltop village of Etruscan origin, among the most lively and picturesque of Chianti, characterized by an imposing fortress.

In addition to the 2 wineries, you get to visit a couple of towns in the Chianti/Siena areas, which were quite nice. The 2 wineries were awesome to see and the wine was tasty! We were able to order some bottles and ship some home to the United States. Would definitely recommend this tour!

I was expecting that they will actually give a tour of the facility and show the actual tanks. The two facilities we visited talked about the differences in Chianti wines. It was more of a taste few wines and then buy or order wines and olive oil if you want. If you also went on tours like Cinque Terre then there is not much new you see on this trip.

This was an ok tour, however I was really looking forward to seeing the areas where the wine was made and the other behind-the-scenes stuff that was mentioned in the description, but unfortunately we did not do any of that. We did go to all of the locations and tasted 8 wines in total with opportunities to purchase. Would recommend as a tasting even though it felt a little rushed. Great way to see the Italian countryside without driving.

When I booked this I had the impression we would be visiting 3 or 4 wineries learning about them and their wines in a relaxing flow from place to place. Not so much. BUT what it ended up being was fun. You are with a bus of people and you visit 2 wineries and 2 charming little towns. You are on the bus a lot, but Chianti wine country is beautiful so the rides are worthwhile. The 2 wineries are very different so not repetitive. In one of the towns I experienced an exchange between residents that was so beautiful it is my favorite memory of Italy and maybe humanity. I wouldn’t have seen it if not on this tour. Our guide Keiko was nice and funny. So! If you book this, be prepared to get off and on the bus frequently, wear comfy shoes and plan to just roll with it!

The afternoon was marvellous! Amazing wine, two distinctive winery and the Toscane view his breathtaking. But they should get rid of the greve city stop. Nothing to see and in 20-30min you almost don't have time for a glass of wine. Give more time in Castilla, the parking is far, and only the walking distance to the Main Street you have to go back to the bus!!! After the 1st tasting, give time for a glass of wine in the winery, go straight to the next winery after give a nice 50min for castila city!!!

Generally ok value for the money but too long and too short at the two visited wineries. The visit to the second town was not great and time would have been better spent shortening the trip by an hour or giving time for a third vineyard

This was a very enjoyable tour. We learned a lot about Chianti wine and had a lot shipped home to us. Our guide was a big help and took the time to answer everyone’s questions.

This was a great tour. If you have never been to a winery this is good. Other than tasting and their knowledge of different grapes from different regions, most of the stuff on aging etc. is standard.Maybe because we live close to and are familiar with Napa/Sonoma. The locations in Tuscany are beautiful hillsides and the villas are gorgeous. If nothing get out of the City tours of museums and monuments and get some fresh air and perspective. The guide was good.

Great trip for the price. The second winery was much better than the first in regards to what they provided food/wine, the education aspect and the ambiance. Lorenzo was terrific. Eat a large meal before and bring a bottle of wine and some snacks to drink/eat on the bus and you will have a great trip :)

Would’ve been nice to have less time in the town and more time at the wineries. I felt very rushed at both wineries and would’ve liked more time to walk around both to shop and take in the views

No only did we have excellent presentations at two wineries, we got to see the beautiful Tuscan countryside along with commentary from our guide. A great experience

Great afternoon of tasting and learning about the region and its wines. Easy to book, directions to pick up were clear and our guide was excellent (funny and informative). You visit two wineries which are quite different - and both excellent - and two little towns in the region allowing anyone without a car to still appreciate the countryside.

Great tour to learn about the wines of the region, even if you are already familiar with Italian wine. Our tour guide was incredibly personable and entertaining. Plenty of time to taste wine, take photos, and enjoy the villages. This is definitely not a small group tour, a full large bus, but that did not affect the quality of the wine tasting experience. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an amazing trip. It far exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide Keiko she did an amazing job. We decided on this tour to add the dinner stop option. Do it, you will not regret it. Eating at an one star Michelin rated over 10 years in a row for this ratingrestaurant Antica Trattoria La Toppa was amazing an the setting on a hill top tiny village was beautiful. When booking this tour take the option for dinner and pre order the T-bone steak as that option I think it is only available in advance. This was a amazing day and would do it all over again. The wine tasting experiences were great and informative, driving in the hills were beautiful.

For the price of this tour, it is totally worth it. We were able to see two towns in the Chianti region and visited two wineries as well. The wine tasting was great experience and we learned a lot from the somellier. The wines were good and pretty affordable compared to the Napa Valley wines. It was amazing to be able to see Tuscany and the vineyards. Just a truly great experience. It was all worth it.
