Stop At: 19018 Vernazza Italy

Sit back and relax for this 2.25 hour ride via comfortable, air-conditioned coach. Your guide will entertain you with tales of the area as you cross two regions: Tuscany and Liguria. Both are rich with history, cultures and traditions that deserve to be told. Upon arrival, you’ll be escorted to a quaint and comfortable public boat. Tailoring your adventure to the most beautiful sites, we’ve made sure to include Poets’ Gulf, of course, via a beautiful cruise. This colorful, evocative and unique coastline is dominated by green hills and clear waters. The cruise through Poets’ Gulf will bring you to the town of Portovenere, one of the most stunning places on the West Coast of Italy. You’ll notice fishermen’s boats docked daintily by the beach, colorful homes peppering the scenery, an old castle looming on the horizon, churches standing omnipresent. Enjoy free time to explore this beautiful village on your own. After a pleasant 1.25 hour cruise down the Ligurian coastline, we’ll stop at Monterosso, the largest town among the Cinque Terre. Dine on a local dish as you please, stroll, shop, sit, swim (don’t forget to pack your swimsuit) or even hike with an optional 45-minute light hike. Let your tour leader guide you through the terraced vineyards, the ancient olive groves and the spectacular panoramic views. After the hike, you will still be able to enjoy free time and wander around the charming town of Monterosso. So, the choice is entirely yours! Then it is “all aboard!” as you are taken by train to the charming town of Manarola. Here you’ll be dazzled with views of the tiny harbour, full of colourful boats and vibrant natural formations. Once again, take your time to amble around the area on your own and discover everything fate has in store for just you. Be sure to savor your final sampling of the Liguria region’s famous flavors, including its highly prized pesto, because soon you’ll be back on board the train for a quick ride to your private air-conditioned coach to Florence.

This was my favorite tour from my trip. Being a smaller group it was easier for our tour guide to make it more personal with us. Moving around was easier as well. The boat part was amazing because we were able to see the lands from the water point of view, was able to stop and actually go for a swim. the beaches were beautiful. The guide was the best, This is the best way to visit Cinque Terre

So glad we booked this trip! We had the perfect day to tour Cinque Terre and seeing the villages from the water was very special! We made 3 stops and our tour guide (Antonio) gave us plenty of time at each. He kept us on schedule even when a train was delayed between 2 locations. We walked a lot, but were prepared for a long day, traveling by bus, boat and train! On the ride back to Florence, he spent time with each guest to offer local tips and recommendations of things to do and see in the area. A great guide and wonderful full-day tour to see this beautiful area!

Simone was a great tour guide! She was informative and friendly. The locations were all beautiful. In montarossa you must get a boat with a slide...only 20 euros but made it so fun!

By bus, by boat and by train. Cliffside villages with spectacular views. 10 hour trip but went so fast we didn't even notice. This is a tour where you will see things, learn things and experience things that are sometimes beyond expectatyions in a good way. Not to mis it if you have the toime.

Fantastic tour! Very comfortable bus ride including a pit stop and quick ferry rides to get to the sites. The time we were able to see each stop was pretty good, though it would have been nice to have a bit less at the longest stop so we could have seen more elsewhere. We only made it to 2 of the towns due to late trains, but they did refund us a little money, which as appreciated. Alessandro was the best guide: very friendly and knowledgable. Definitely recommend this trip if you're in Florence. The day goes by fast.

Simona was a great tour guide. It was very crowded this time of year and the crowds limited our time at each island because the line for the train was so long but overall it is a great place to visit. Very beautiful islands. Simona was very accommodating and knowledgeable tour guide.

We enjoyed our tour of Cinque Terre and Portovenere from Florence in One Day. It is a long day, but the scenic drive and water trip was great. Our guide was informative and provided many detail of the countryside we would have otherwise missed.

This was a highlight of our trip. Beautiful part of the country that you must see. Bus up from Florence with 2 boat trips and train ride. Saw all 5 villages with time to explore, eat, relax and shop. There is nothing like Cinque Terre. Excellent excursion with simona. She was A plus. GO!!

WOW!! This tour is perfectly planned and very well executed in terms of coordinating a complex set of transportation modes through the destinations of the Cinque Terre. I was unsure of how physically taxing the day might be however I was pleasantly surprised that access to the bus, boats, and trains was easy and doable for older individuals. The overview of the 5 villages and stops along with way allowed for exploration and shopping in just the right of time attributed. It IS a long day, as we didn't arrive back until about 9 p.m. but very well worth the time. Our guide, Maeteo was the BEST.

A long day, but worth every minute. Traveled by bus, ferry, and train. All the villages of the Cinque Terre from the ferry were beautiful to see. Train stops on the way back let us visit, even briefly, all the villages. Simone was the perfect guide for the entire day.
