Verona and Lake Garda Day Trip from Florence: 18 to 35s

Meet in Piazza Adua, Firenze and depart at 8:00am. Arrive at the lakeside resort town of Sirmione at approximately 11:30am, an area famous for its Roman ruins, the Scaliger castle and hot springs. Enjoy a scenic boat ride around the village then enjoy free time to explore the beautiful cobblestone streets lined with gelateria's and boutique shops. Young travelers love Verona because it has something to offer for everyone, especially those who would like to see Juliet’s infamous balcony. In addition, history has been exquisitely preserved in the architecture of the city. Scattered among boutique shops there is a wealth of Roman ruins, including Italy’s third largest coliseum, now world-renowned for its acoustics and drawing some of the world’s top musicians. Medieval walls line the inner city leading you to the outer edges where you can admire sweeping hillsides lined with pastel buildings and romantic pathways.

Depart for Verona at 1:00pm, and arrive in Verona by 1:30pm. Enjoy free time for lunch (at own expense) prior to the optional walking tour of the historic center. As if Verona wasn’t enough, take a detour and explore the lakeside town of Sirmione. Renowned for its thermal waters, here you can truly explore nature and history. Take a boat tour around the peninsula and get an up-close look at the Roman ruins, representing the beginnings of town. After the walking tour you are welcome to continue your exploration of Verona prior to departing at 5:30pm.

Arrive back in Florence around 9:30pm.
