Due to its climate, soil and altitudes, which proved to be unfavourable for most crops, have made Chianti Classico an area that excels in the production of premium wines.
We will tour the vineyards and wine cellars right in the heart of the Chianti Classico, having a close look at the production and ageing process of the wines and additionally learn about the secrets of extra virgin authentic olive oil making. This wonderful experience includes wine tasting, dinner and the opportunity to buy some of the best Tuscan wines.
During the tour, you will visit a small family-run winery where you will taste iconic wines designed to delight your taste buds.
You will also learn how to tell the difference between the multiple varieties of wines, as well as learning the proper techniques to taste wine.
At the winery, you will have a private tour of the cellars and receive a full explanation of the wines, after which you will be tasting and drinking top-end wines produced by the winery itself. The extra virgin oil aromatic flavours will be savoured with the dinner that includes the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina.
You will then return to Florence through the Tuscan countryside overlooking the spectacular city of Florence ahead of you.
