Villa le Corti
Chianti Classico, a land of vineyards, olive groves, forests, and beauty
Villa Le Corti, the Corsini family’s historical estate in Chianti, is a place where the landscape of the Tuscan hills, made of vineyards and olive trees, melds with a thousand-year history of one of the most important Italian families.
In this Tuscan land between Florence and Siena, Duccio Corsini and his family follow organic agricultural methods to produce Chianti Classico and high quality extra virgin olive oil.
Villa Le Corti Estates extend over 250 hectares of land, 49 of which are vineyards planted with Sangiovese to produce Chianti Classico and IGT Principe Corsini (Don Tommaso, Cortevecchia, Le Corti, and Zac). Another 73 hectares of olive trees produce Chianti Classico DOP extra virgin olive oil.
The Principe Corsini estate in the Chianti countryside near Florence consists of a rectangular villa. Inside, a spacious courtyard with an arched loggia opens to the rooms of the villa on the ground floor: Sala delle Donne, Sala dei Titoli, Sala Clemente XII, and Salone a Tramontana.
The ground floor and vast park with centuries-old cypress trees that surround the villa are ideal for galas and ceremonies, as well as meetings, fashion shows, and film sets.
The uniqueness and appeal of the Villa Le Corti Estate is not only its grand villa but also the ample park that surrounds it. The green space is characterized by a geometric Italian garden, centuries-old cypress trees, and an expansive field that is ideal for open-air events and ceremonies.
The historic wine cellar is unique of its kind. It was constructed in 1600 and organized on three underground levels that wind through a system of rooms and corridors carved out under the villa and its gardens. Here is where the great wines of Chianti Classico Principe Corsini were created.
During the year, it is possible to reserve and organize guided visits of the 16th century residence, its historic wine cellar, the olive mill, and the historical orciaia where olive oil is stored. Visits conclude with a tasting of Principe Corsini products that may also be purchased directly from our store.
A unique angle of Villa Le Corti is represented by the historic kitchens of the villa, originally constructed in the early 17th century. Here, cooking courses are held following historic Tuscan recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation, using vegetables and produce directly from the villa’s garden.
