Meet the nude and then enjoy the food (David and food tour)

About this activity
Meet you guide outside the accademia museum at 8.30 am and enjoy the opportunity of seeing David early in the morning before the cruise ship crowds come in. We have skip the line tickets to ensure you have a fast and easy access to the museum. Listen to fascinating stories about Michelangelo, learn more about who he was and hear about Michelangelo and Leonardo´s rivalry.
Your guide will walk you around David slowly so you won´t miss any details of this amazing giant.
After an hour inside the accademia museum we will continue with our food tour.
We will now head to the San Lorenzo market and will immediately walk over to a coffee shop where we sit down and enjoy what many florentines consider the best cappuccino in town. While we enjoy the coffee and get to know each other we talk about why coffee is religion in Italy, why Italians want their coffee standing up, and how there is no adding milk in your coffee after a certain hour:)
Our next stop will be the San Lorenzo market, where the florentines love to shop. As we stroll through the market talking about culture, traditions and what a huge foodie Leonardo Da Vinci was we also stop and savor a famous sandwich at one of the oldest sandwich places in Florence. What kind of tour would this be without pasta? While the pasta is prepared by the chef we talk about Italians obsession of salting the pasta water and letting the pasta "marry" the sauce before it is served.
We will then head over to a gourmet shop where will learn about balsamics, extra virgin oils and then taste them of course. Here we will sit down and enjoy our wine and food tasting! Expect crostini, sauces, chutneys, cheeses, truffle honey and much more, all washed down with several wines.
Our last stop is a gelateria chosen for it´s historical importance, very loved by the locals, and known to have the best pistachio gelato in Florence!
