About this activity
An english speaking driver will pick you up at your centrally located accommodation in Florence to drive you to Rome or Fiumicino airport. On the way, He will drive you to visit some of the most charming villages of Tuscany: San Gimignano and Siena. Your driver will talk to you about our way of life, traditions, history about the places you’ ll visit and will tell you what is worth to be visited in every place.

The driver will drive you through the rolling hills of Tuscany countryside and he will drop you off in front of the main gate of San Gimignano, nicknamed the "Manhattan of the middle age", where you' ll have 1 hour free walking tour. This tiny village is famous for its medieval architecture and for the towers that were, when were built in the middle age, the expression of power and richness of the major families of the city. The Duomo here, is another magnificent example of medieval art. This is a flexible transfer. Clients, infact, will be able to decide of keeping the main itinerary with 1 hour stop to Siena after going to Sangimignano or changing and having a stop in a winery to have lunch with wine tasting after going to San Gimignano. In case of a stop in a winery, after lunch, the driver will head to Rome. This is something that you’ ll be able to adjust directly with your driver after meeting. He’ ll be as flexible as possible to make the best for you and to make you have a life time experience. To sum up this is the choice: 1) stop to Sangimignano and Siena. 2) stop to Sangimignano and in a winery for lunch with wine tasting. (Lunch/wine tasting/food not included)

Siena is 40 minutes driving from Sangimignano and it’ s famous for its beauty. Its Duomo is considered one of the most beautiful church of Italy and the other famous attraction is the main square “Piazza del Campo” where, twice a year the horse race “the Palio” takes place. The whole city centre is really nice and easy to visit because it was closed to the traffic in 1966. Our drivers are allowed to drive through the historic and pedestrian areas so they will drop you off and pick you up to leave in front of the Duomo or wherever you like.

After 1 hour free walking tour spent to visit Siena, the driver will pick you up and drive to Rome or Fiumicino airport.

Marco was knowledgeable, friendly, and an excellent driver. He drove our family of five in a mini van that was immaculately clean and comfortable. He asked us to meet back in 60-90 minutes at both San Gimignano and Siena and both times we failed to get back to him on time - we appreciated that he didn't get upset with us. We told him, seriously, 60-90 minutes will never be enough time! We thoroughly enjoyed our day and are very grateful to Marco for making it a wonderful day.
