Salvatore Ferragamo Museum tickets
Owning a wardrobe filled with shoes, in every shape, style, and color is the dream of all women. Live this dream for a day: visit the large Ferragamo signed wardrobe-museum! Exploring the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in Florence means discovering the connections between the well-known fashion brand, art, design and Italian tradition.
Discover the history of the "stars' shoemaker" who, from a little village in the province of Naples, moved to California, where he began to design and create shoes for the movie industry. Ferragamo returned to Italy in 1927 and opened a workshop in Florence, a city traditionally rich in skilled craftsmen. His creations - like the famous cork wedge heels, metal reinforced high heels or invisible sandals - soon became famous throughout the world.
Inaugurated in 1995, the museum is located in the historical headquarters of the company, the medieval Palazzo Spini Feroni. The first two rooms are devoted to the history of Ferragamo house and to its creativity: over 14,000 models are on display rotating. The other rooms of the museum house temporary exhibitions.
