Then, you will approach the Duomo of Florence, also called Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore (Saint Mary of the Flower). It is the gothic church of the city and it is part of the complex of the cathedral in Piazza del Duomo, together with Giotto's Campanile and the Baptistery.

After having admired the Duomo, you will walk until you reach another very important and famous square: Piazza della Signoria. Here you can also admire the very well known palace: Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace), originally called “Palazzo della Signoria” and changed many names, such as “Palazzo del Popolo”, “Palazzo dei Priori”, and “Palazzo Ducale” before taking its actual name of “Palazzo Vecchio” in 1565.
