About this activity
After 150 years, the passageway from Palazzo Vecchio to the Uffizi Museum has been reopened. A covered overpass between the two buildings which is the first section of the Vasari Corridor, commissioned by Cosimo I de Medici and realized by Giorgio Vasari in 1565. 

Your independent visit starts at 9:30 am at the Palazzo Vecchio, with direct access to the museum at the first floor. Here you will have a chance to discover the famous Hall of the 500, the beautiful private apartments of Eleonora de Toledo and Cosimo I de Medici, and an incredible series of frescoes, paintings, decorations, and statues by the greatest Renaissance artists such as Michelangelo, Donatello, Verrocchio, Vasari, Ghirlandaio, and Bronzino.

Then, at 10:30 am, cross through the overpass, located at the second floor of the palace in the green room of Eleonora de Toledo's apartments. (Please note: entrance time is reserved, and no late entries will be admitted.)

Passing over the covered bridge connecting the two buildings, which is the first part of the Vasari Corridor, you will directly access the first floor of the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most famous art museums in the world. Independently, admire numerous works of art by Renaissance masters such as Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, and Masaccio, including iconic works like Primavera and The Birth of Venus.
