Tuscany landscapes, castles and Chianti wine district tour
Be driven along the picturesque Tuscan countryside and enjoy a TOP quality Chianti wine tasting; reach amazing panorama spots and visit a medieval hamlet and cellar.
Starting from the center of Florence you will reach the heart of Chianti on a luxury van with private driver, along the ancient Roman road “Cassia Vetus” surrounded by rolling hills with breathtaking views, vineyards and olive groves.
Your first stop will be in a splendid historic villa dated 1450, still with original items of furniture and surrounded by cypress and oak woods; you will visit the villa and the ancient medieval cellars where, still nowadays, prestigious original oak barrel are used for aging the wine produced in the estate.
You will have a wine tasting of top Chianti wine, accompanied by an appetizing Tuscan “tagliere” (cheese, ham, bruschetta).
Later on, by van will stop to visit the medieval village of Greve in Chianti that gave birth to Giovanni da Verrazzano, the Florentine traveler who discovered in the 15th century the Hudson Bay. Heading to Florence you will have the chance to visit the superb stoned hilltop hamlet of Montefioralle, perfectly preserved from the 12th century. Then back home by a famous country road.
If you want to join this tour with the “vip formula”, from Montefioralle (instead of going back to Florence), you will be taken to the hilltop family-run Agriturismo where you will be treated as a friend, visiting their boutique winery together with the owner and where you will have an amazing typical Tuscan full course lunch (handmade in front of you) with top Chianti Classico “Black Rooster” wine tasting and “from farm to table” ingredients. Your table will be just in front of an absolutely stunning panorama.
