Lagoinha do Leste hiking tour

Lagoinha do Leste is undoubtedly one of the natural treasures of this island. Due to the geographic isolation, it is also one of the most preserved beaches, including the whole set: beach - forest - mountains - river. The beach has 1250 m in length and strong waves, good for surfing. A great and safe option for bathing is the waters of the river that ends at the corner of the beach, always more pleasant than the sea. Small dunes alongside the river complete this natural amusement park. The trail, leaving from Armao has little more than 4 km, and usually we will take between 1.30 h and 2 h to complete it until the beach. A trail that requires attention at every step! The other access trail leaves the South Swamp and has 2.4 km - average time of 1 hour. For the more radical we have the option to climb the Morro da Coroa, where you have a fantastic view of the whole region. A medium level trail, suitable for those who like to walk, especially the section Armao - Lagoinha. It requires a good dose of attention and fitness, after all are 8 km round trip - via Armao - outside our walks on the beach and / or Morro da Coroa.
