Key West Tour with Stop at Islamorada for Tarpon Fish Viewing

1 day
About this activity
This amazing day tour to Key West and the other Keys from your hotel located in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea allows those who want a relaxing day in a small group atmosphere to see and do more.
We will cross 42 bridges, the most famous being the 7-mile bridge, and 32 inhabited keys along the way down including stops for pictures and an unforgettable experience getting face to face with giant Tarpon Fish! You’ll be able to hand-feed a tarpon by tossing bait fish into the mouths of these hungry residents that can weigh as much as a full-grown adult! (optional)
Upon our arrival in Key West we will learn about the history and culture of this charming and idyllic location. The culture and heritage of Key West goes back to the first Indians thousands of years ago, through the Pirates of the Caribbean period, the Europeans and finally the modern day American period sprinkled with a dash of events that are related to Cuba as well.
We start at Sunset Square and visit Mallory Square where we learn about the exciting things there are to do here before walking along the famous Duval Street, visiting the Pirate’s Well, and more! There are plenty of things to do in Key West from taking in the beach, enjoying a snorkeling tour, or visiting one of the local attractions such as the Key West Shipwreck Museum, the Aquarium, the Harry S. Truman Little White House, and the Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum.
There are also other places of interest that you will see and enjoy such as the Ernest Hemingway House, the 90-mile marker, the Bahama Village Market, West Martello Tower & Botanical Garden, and much more. Make sure when you build up a thirst or an appetite, that you take in Sloppy Joe’s. This old saloon bar was made famous as a local haunt of the great Ernest Hemingway himself who gave the bar its namesake!
Our local guide will help you have a wonderful day and because we only go in small groups, we see, experience, and do a lot more!
