Long day, but well worth the trip! Our driver safely brought us to two tourist locations. He knew the back roads and special locations to get the best picture!

Would recommend this trip and company. The driver/guide - Thomas Heep - is a walking encyclopedia of information who also drives very safely. Trip from Frankfurt is a bit long as it covers two locations but the driver/car combination made it seem short. The castle was magical while the town has a lot of character. Wish this company also operated in the Black Forest area as there is a dearth of good operators there.

I was in Frankfurt for business and decided to take this tour at the end of my stay. It is so worth the cost and is an amazing day! Our tour guide, Thomas, was extremely knowledgable and eager to share Germany with us. We had a group of 5 in a mini-bus. Rothenburg is so worth seeing and exploring - I wish we had more time there but we had to move on to make our tour at the castle. Approaching the castle was fantastic with a view of the Alps. Unfortunately, we experienced some heavy rain the moment we arrived. But there wasn't much to do but continue forth with our plans. So though we were cold and wet and had limited ability to take photos outdoors, this was a fantastic visit. If you do this tour - bring snacks and water Thomas did have a sandwich for us but you need to be ready if that is not a common practice and wear sturdy shoes ! and if there is any chance of rain, bring proper attire and/or an umbrella. There is a lot of walking no matter how you cut it - the bus can only take you so far on the castle grounds. It's a long day so be prepared.

Great itinerary although Rothenburg is a lovely well-preserved medieval city deserving more than an hour stop-over! The way to Neuschwanstein was way too long from Frankfurt - over 4-hour drive one-way, the drive on a German highway was a bit scary since no speed limit in some places hence up to 160 jumper hour at times!, but we had an experienced driver and guide. The walk up to the castle itself was a bit unexpected 30 min one way or so, so you better be ready for it !!

This was a fantastic tour and I highly recommend it! Peter our tour guide was so professional and knowledgable about all the places we visited and he knew everything about everything and he was so informative. The German countryside is beautiful and our journey along the autobahn although very busy at the time was still well worth the ride! Our first stop in Rothenberg was lovely and it really is a beautiful town. We spent about an hour there which was fine by me as it still allowed us enough time to walk around and explore the town. The architecture and the well kept buildings are a must see! The castle was well maintained and the architecture and style of the building and everything with in is really quite amazing! I wanted to see a castle and Im glad I saw this castle! The tour was well worth it, it was a long day but all very manageable! The tour was well organised and again I cannot reiterate the professionalism and knowledge of our tour guide Peter! If he is guiding your tour you will be treated well! I would happily do another tour with him!

It was a fantastic trip, in a private car. Our driver, Peter, was outstanding. He was informative, well versed on the area, and attentive to all comforts of a long tour.
