Three Day Frankfurt to Munich - Romantic Road, Rothenburg, Hohenschwangau, Neuschwanstein

3 days
About this activity
Visit to the 'Jewel of the Middle Ages' - Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Rothenburg above the Tauber). A picturesque city, located 425 meters above sea level on a plateau at the intersection of the Romantic and Castle Roads. This once free imperial city is one of Germany's most frequented towns. The Tauber River flows below in a valley 180 feet (55 meters) deep.

You'll then travel to a land where only fairytales exist! Step into the magical world of Castle Neuschwanstein, as you visit this breathtakingly majestic castle built on the ruins of "Vorder- und Hinterhohenschwangau".

This independent multi-day package is a combination of guaranteed scheduled coach services with additional features like transfers, hotel accommodation and sightseeing tours. Please read the itinerary below for full details.

What an amazing tour and a great way to start our vacation with so many beautiful sites to see. We enjoyed every stop and were transported back in time. Neuschwanstein castle and grounds were beautiful. Very organized and made the most of our time. Would highly recommend.

Saw and learned about many things but on our own as there was no commentary except on the Grayline portion of the trip from Hohenschwangau to Munich 2 hours. It was very disappointing to ride on a bus that was not a 'tour' bus. Several people got on and off as they might on a regular city bus. Had there been an opportunity for commentary it would have felt more like a tour. Your description of this tour was very deceiving.

The hotels chosen in the cities were GREAT but the drivers DID NOT SPEAK english!!!! So it was hard to understand them in case of doubts! They would not tell us where we would stop ! in one of the stops was my stop and i did not know that! we were supposed to follow the FOLDER WHICH WAS NOT MENTIONED! At least if they advise us to look at the folder the entire trip It would be easier!!! To be honest I was completely Lost!!!!!!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE, NOT RECOMMENDED. We are tourists, need information, the driver was supposed to announce and play tapes of the cities we visited, the driver would not even announce the cities we were passing or arriving, so we missed the city we were supposed to stay. I called the office and let them know what happened. They called the driver by the way, laughing and mocking is a universal language so I could understand that it was funny for them what happened to us and he was supposed to take us to the train station, instead he tried to get rid of us by getting us on a taxi. With that attitude, we took our own taxi to the train station but we could not get back by train I can write why and the whole experience if you need more info and we had to take a cab back that cost us a lot of money. We arrived late at Rothenburg and missed the last tour. The next day we were supposed to visit 3 cities and we got only 2. They say it was our responsibility to know where to get off the bus, really?? We do not speak german and do not know the area, that is why we took a tour, otherwise we would have gone on our own. As I said, the driver never even mentioned where we were. They do not even recognize their responsibility on the bad job they did and blame everything on us. It was a long and bad experience that it would be too long to explain here. I have all the emails I exchange with this company, receipts, etc. that I can share, my email is calherp@gmail.com. If anybody wants to go to Rothemburg and Neuschwanstein, please, go by yourselves, it would be less expensive and the same experience. Your bus driver would probably be as helpful as the drivers of this tour who conveniently forget how to speak english when problems arise.
