American Indians called this mountain Cacapon which means medicinal waters because they were convinced that it has healing powers. We will hike to the top of the mountain, take in the beautiful views along the way and work up the appetite while setting on a challenging and a rewarding hike.

Centuries after American Indians discovered the healing powers of “Cacapon Springs”, George Washington himself put it to test. He described the medicinal properties of this water in his diaries and frequently visited the springs with his family. Just like the first President, we will enjoy the hot springs during our trip.

Stop At: Prospect Peak, Berkeley Springs, WV
National Geographic described this vista point as a “Switzerland View of America”. We will see beautiful scenery of three states and the Potomac River, take photos and from this point we will head back to DC.
