Make your way to the meeting point where you will be greeted by your guide, and now it's time to embark on a mouth-watering food adventure!
Your first stop is Yanagibashi Rengo Fish Market, also known as "Fukuoka's Kitchen", where you can find a whole assortment of locally-sourced fresh seafood. There, you can try some sashimi, sushi, and let's not forget, the Fukuoka specialty mentaiko (spicy pollack roe).
Then, time to delight your sweet tooth! You'll pick up some delicious Japanese sweets at the guide's favorite wagashi shop and savor them with hojicha (roasted green tea) at a popular Japanese-style cafe.
The tour keeps going. Enjoy walking along bustling Hakata streets, taking pictures and grabbing some fine snacks as you go: juicy karaage (fried chicken), hot and creamy takoyaki (octopus balls), and various tofu items at one of Fukuoka's most sought-after tofu shops.
Not full yet? Top off your journey with tasty yakitori (grilled chicken) and oden (fishcake stew) at an izakaya bar, or if in season, oyster grill at an oyster hut while having a fun chat with the guide!!
