Itinerary
You will be greeted by our representative at Hambantota harbor and taken to Udawalawe.
The Udawalawe National Park is a collection of several distinct, but inter-related geographical features. From lush forests to grasslands to a man-made reservoir, Udawalawe is among the largest of national parks in Sri Lanka. This is the only place in the world where an elephant sighting is guaranteed on every game drive.
Enjoy Lunch at Grand Udawalawe Resort
Duration: 4 hours
Location: Uda Walawe National Park Sri Lanka
After Lunch, you will be taken to visit Eth Athuru Sevena Elephant Transit home which is the Asia’s first rehabilitation center for elephants. Established in 1995 by the Wild life Conservation Department the center lies on a 200-acre land on the western boarder of the Udawalawe National Park. with the Udawalawe Reservoir as the southern border. Baby elephants are sometimes wounded by traps laid by humans or by gunshot injuries. Some calves become orphaned when the mother dies or gets killed. The center takes in the sick, wounded or orphans baby elephants and nourish them until they are capable of living on their own and release them to various national parks.
On completion of this visit, you will be driven back to Hambantota harbor.
