Navigate the Chagres river, the largest river in the Panama Canal's watershed, up close and personal with this 30 minute tour. Your tour boat will glide smoothly through the water as you observe the lush surrounding rain forest. You might get the opportunity to see a sleepy sloth in a tree, or a colorful bird peacefully living in the jungle. The river's upper basin is covered by dense tropical forests and to protect that ecosystem, Panama created Chagres National Park in 1985. Your tour will depart from the Marina at Gamboa Rain forest Resort, accompanied by a naturalist guide and a boat captain. Remember to bring your camera, comfortable clothes, sunblock and mosquito repellent.
