Our tour guide, Mike, was easy to find due to great directions leaving our cruise ship. Mike was personable, spoke English exceptionally well and very knowledgeable of the history of the area. This was a private tour for four of us and he took us around the three contiguous cities, explained how the two port cities developed over time and the competition between the two of the them. As we toured the various sites, Mike explained the changes over time and his pride in the rapid development since the Soviet era was evident. We did about four miles of walking but at a reasonable pace with some time to rest. Mike's knowledge, pride and ability to communicate were key factors in this tour - don't know what could have been better!
