Leave Geneva behind for a drive to the lakeside towns of Lausanne and Montreux, and then continue to storybook Chillon Castle for a photo stop (no entry into the castle).

Pass By: The Matterhorn, Zermatt 3920 Switzerland
Venturing through Valais, the valley of the Rhône River, transfer to a cogwheel train in Täsch and ride up to Zermatt, a German-speaking resort town at the foot of Matterhorn mountain, whose striking peak is a symbol of Switzerland.

• Dinner
Accommodation included: Overnight: Hotel Alex (or similar) in Zermatt

Day 2: Zermatt - Täsch - Lugano

Pass By: Gornergrat, Bahnhofplatz 7 Bahnhof, Zermatt 3920 Switzerland
The morning is yours to spend as you please. If you’re craving more views, ride the cogwheel train up the snowy Gornergrat mountain (own expense), or simply stroll through town shopping for knickknacks and admiring the charming old farmhouses.

Pass By: Nufenen Pass, Ulrichen Switzerland
In the afternoon, take the train to Täsch and then board the bus for a ride over the stunning Nufenen Pass.

Pass By: Lake Lugano, Lugano Switzerland
Cross into the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland and arrive in the garden city of Lugano, nestled on Lake Lugano and surrounded by the Lugano Prealps.

Meals included:
• Breakfast
Accommodation included: Overnight: Hotel De La Paix (or similar) in Lugano

Day 3: Lugano - Lake Como - St. Moritz

Pass By: Menaggio, Italy
After your stay in Lugano, it’s time to hit the road for Italy. Take a scenic route across the border and drive along the enchanting villa-lined shores of Lake Como, a famous resort destination (and, incidentally, a celebrity magnet). Re-enter Switzerland by way of Castasegna. Hairpin turns bend over Maloja Pass to crystal-blue Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana, delivering you to the renowned mountain resort town of St. Moritz in the late afternoon.

Pass By: Lake St. Moritz, St. Moritz Switzerland
Pristinely set amid colossal Alpine summits, St Moritz has hosted two Winter Olympics and is home to one of the most expensive ski resorts in the world.
Explore at your leisure and enjoy dinner with your group in the evening.

Pass By: Vaduz Castle, Bergstrasse 2, Vaduz 9490 Liechtenstein
Continue an hour north and cross the Liechtenstein border to Vaduz, the capital city. Admire mighty Vaduz Castle, a gorgeous royal palace perched on a forested outcrop overlooking the valley.

Our tour guide, Philippe, was quite excellent! His stories were interesting, he gave us a lot of information while we were on the road, and he always made sure we were well accommodated (both of us who were traveling in my party are vegan and he took that into account for the meals included in the tour). Most of the stops from Geneva to Zurich were beautiful towns/cities that were great places to grab a mea/snack and wander around. The two exceptions to this were probably St. Moritz (it was a bit cloudy and cool, and not much to do in the summer other than walk around the lake or window shop) and Liechtenstein (it was cool to get the souvenir passport stamp, but other than that it was basically just a street of expensive shops) The lodging was always excellent, very comfortable, and our luggage was always delivered to our hotel rooms and loaded back onto the bus for us, which made it extremely convenient! Overall, I think it's a great way to experience many different aspects of Switzerland in just a few days!

This was an amazing trip. So much covered in 4 days. The coach, hotels, and meals were all 5 stars. Our tour director Michael was a gem. Full of information and antidotes. Switzerland was picture perfect. By far the most beautiful country in Europe. The Matterhorn was breathtaking.

I enjoyed the itinerary, hotels, tour guide, and bus driver's competence. The only thing I didn't like was starting at a bus station and ending at a rail station. I flew in and out of Switzerland. The Geneva bus station was a harrowing 40 taxi ride on narrow crowded streets, from my hotel which was near the Airport. Getting to the Zurich Airport from the rail station wasn't an easy journey for a first time to Europe traveler. So having the option to get on the bus near the Geneva Airport and ending the tour near the Zurich Airport would have been much preferred and a lot less stressful.

I loved all of little towns and villages that we saw. They were beautiful and were like a Swiss storybook. The guides were great, good mix of talking and quiet time on the bus. I did not like the little restaurant at the top of the pass and thought that we should have gone down the mountain, but that is not enough to downgrade the tour. All of the rest of the food was great.
