The mountain and the town were absolutely worth visiting, but not with Neil, the so-csalled guide. He was nowhere to be seen at the venues. On the bus he regaled us with his uninformed opinions on everything from global warming to women's interests to the price of chocolate. He was surely and refused to answer questions about the tour. I suggest that if you are considering taking this tour, make sure he's not involved before boking.

This trip was excellent. The cable car, the train to the ice cave and the village of Chamonix was well worth the drive from Geneva. The weather was perfect and we saw amazing views from the top of Mont Blanc.

My wife and I did this tour on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019. Bus was on time and comfortable, bus driver was nice and safe driver. Tour guide Neil was nice and informative, gave us all the information we needed to have a good time, including the options for side trips. Weather was great, Chamonix is a quaint little Alpine village, but great fun to visit. Only thing we did not like was being crowded into the first cable car that takes you half way up the mountain, but there is noting the tour guides could do about it. It was well worth it for the view of the French Alps, above the clouds! Another happy and successful tour from Viator.com! Dr. David A. Williams, Phoenix, Arizona

The place and experience was awesome but the tour guide Caroline was unhelpful for the most part. She handed us information and leaflets with maps and timings but made little effort to ensure people in the group got to things easily or went around the town with no hassel

This activity can not be put into words to express the beauty of the mountains covered in ice. The Chamonix glass box is an activity that will provide memories for a lifetime. Such a pleasant experience for pictures to be taken. The only negative was that our tour guide "Maria" was not very clear at all about the pick up point and as a result many people arrived over 30 minutes late to the departure point which was irritating having to wait for others in order to leave.

Well run tour - we just did cable car up the mountain and then spent remainder of the day in Chamonix which was a real highlight. Very enjoyable day out.

Unfortunately we didn't get to ride the train to the glacier. The train was not running because of a derailment earlier in the week. Tour guide Niel was very knowledgeable and friendly

The day started out rather cloudy however the sky cleared and Mont Blanc was at its best! The train was out of service so we went on a ski lift cable car instead? Beautiful views!

Enjoyed my visit to Geneva , and touring the french alps was an added bonus. It was my dream to see the alps since I’m very young, so this is like a dream come thru. I’m happy I picked this tour.

We were left there at the bottom of a mountain with a map and barely directions to how to get to the train, the cave and the glacier. We were not told that the glacier, and the cave closed at 3 pm. We were not able to go down to the glacier or the cave because of this.We missed two of the things we paid for. Why pay for a tour when you have to figure out everything yourself.

This was something we had never seen before. The day started by taking the cable car up and then standing slack-jawed for an extended period of time. We then went on the train ride to the glacier and ice caves which also left us amazed (not having seen anything like this in our lives). The walk up (a bit tiring) was well-worth it for the sight of the caves.

What a great trip!! Departure point was easy to find and we left on time. Our guide Maria was very informative and quite friendly. En route, we were given good direction on where to go and when to meet for our return. If you are looking for a heavily guided tour, this isn’t for you. Besides the ride there and ride back, we were fully on our own. However, Maria let us know she’d be at certain spots at certain times if needed. That was a nice insurance policy if we got turned around or just plain lost. But we managed to do just fine on our own. I can’t even begin to describe the beauty of Mont Blanc!! You will not be disappointed with it. Make sure to purchase the cable car (can’t go up the mountain without it!). We did not purchase the lunch (seemed a bit steep for such a small meal) and we did purchase the train. But a couple of tips: In the summer, the glacier is a path of dirt and rocks. No snow of course so if you’re expecting a traditional glacier, you won’t get it. The ice cave you are also taking the train for is 450 steps down and then 450 steps back up. We saw quite fit people coming up looking like they were about to die. So we skipped the cave. The train is great for breathtaking views but the glacier-less glacier and staircase of death was a bit of a snooze fest. Departure back to Geneva was on time. All in all, we had about 6-7 hours on our own. Plenty of time to do everything. I would definitely recommend this tour (no way you’d figure transport and locations of those events on your own if you’re a tourist) and would pay again to have all of the plans arranged for me!
