About this activity
Choose from a morning or afternoon tour to suit your schedule, then head to central Geneva to meet your guide and hop aboard your Segway. Take a moment or two to master the controls during a practise session with your guide, then zoom off into Geneva to begin your tour.

On your way to Bergues Bridge and the Old Town, pass attractive local landmarks, such as the Brunswick Monument, and enjoy the feeling of floating effortlessly through the city on your Segway. Take in beautiful city views from the romantic Rousseau Island, once a walled fortress protecting Geneva from attack

Spin along the ancient, cobbled streets of Geneva Old Town and discover pretty town squares, babbling water fountains and vibrant flowerbeds. Cruise beneath the shade of the trees along Promenade de la Treille and on through the ancient Bourg-de-Four Square, admiring the imposing façade of the city’s Town Hall. Visit the Reformation Wall — where important events of the Protestant Reformation are remembered — and learn of Geneva’s rich history from your guide.

After 1.5 hours exploring Geneva Old Town and surrounds by Segway, head back to your departure point in the city center where your tour will come to an end.

Great guide full of local knowledge and history. Being a Sunday we used the alternate meeting point arrangements which worked out AOK...as the usual access was closed due to Sunday morning shopping hours. With just the two of us in the group we were given the choice of the United Nations area or the old town.... we didn't really get it as we thought we had time for a taste of both areas. Having said that, the guide was very caring, informative and safety focused and spoke with passion about Geneva as we toured the Nations area.

Highly recommend this tour. Was a great way to see some of the sights of Geneva Old Town. Neither of us had ridden a Segway before, but after a brief demo and practice session, we felt very comfortable and were surprised how intuitive the machines were. Our guide, RJay was excellent and made us feel at ease. His passion for the city was evident and gave a lot of interesting info about all the places we stopped at. Only wish it had gone for a bit longer

As first time Segway pilots we loved this tour. Excellent instruction and entertaining commentary from our guide.

We booked the Segway tour through Viator. We did the Old Town tour with RJ, he was an awesome guide. My husband I had not used a Segway, ever. RJ did an excellent job instructing us before the tour, we also watched a video, and did some practice runs. RJ was very knowledgeable about the city, he shared many fun fact/trivia information and had deep historical knowledge of the city. He also speaks many languages and perfect English. City Wheels is in a mall named Les Cygnes on Rue de Lausanne, opposite the railway station, next to the Hotel Warwick. When we went the mall was closed, we entered through the side, City Wheels sent me very clear directions on how to find them. The Segways were in top condition. The instruction was a critical part of the success of the day. RJ did a really good job ensuring we were very comfortable on the Segway before we went out in the city. The tour was fun, educational, and comprehensive. There are bike lanes through out the city, I felt safe riding in the city among the cars, no one honked at us, and the cars would stay behind us with distance, if there wasn't a bike lane. The tour is through parks, pedestrian areas, and for short sections with traffic. If you want to see a lot and do it in a short amount of time, this is a good way to do it.
