About this activity
Board your comfortable vehicle at 2:15pm at the Geneva bus station, and take a drive along Lake Geneva to reach the fortified village of Yvoire.

Built in 1036, Yvoire’s castle is the target of all photography lovers. When under construction in the 14th century, the military dungeon was used to watch the navigation and control the road that linked Geneva to the high valley of the Rhone and to Italy. Today, the majestic shape of the castle is still standing as a sentinel on Lake Geneva.

Spend some free time of approximately 1.5 hours here in Yvoire to explore the atmosphere of this unique place. Perhaps you'll want enjoy the restaurants and have a bite to eat (at own expense). There's a typical fish dish called 'Filet de Perche' which you can enjoy in front of the magnificent lake.

Classified among the most beautiful villages of France, the medieval city of Yvoire, an authentic fisherman's village, is situated right by the Leman Lake. It is abundant with flowers and lively with its many artists and craftsmen. Be sure to check out the garden “Des Cinq Sens” and its labyrinth of greenery. For a 700-year-old place, the village has miraculously preserved invaluable testimonies of past: castle, ramparts, doors and ditch.

After your time in Yvoire, you'll return to Geneva aboard an old steamer boat - the “Belle Epoque”, to enjoy a 2-hour cruise allowing you to see the banks and scenery of the lake from the water. Your return to Geneva

Your tour will conclude around 7pm at The English Garden in the center of Geneva.
