About this activity
Enjoy a gourmet walking tour through Genoa to sample delicious street food like focaccia alla cipolle (onions) or al formaggio (with cheese) and pizzata (mixed pizza). Wander through fancy bars and others hidden ones in the narrow alleys of the historical city center, where Hemingway would have loved to have a drink too.
No other city in Italy allows you to eat such a variety of delicious, unique, and superb street food as Genoa does. You will taste some of the most incredible food you have ever had.
You will taste trippa alla Genovese (tripe), farinata (thin breads made from chickpeas), and boiled octopus with potatoes. Then, after these entrées, head straight to one of the last real trattoria left in the city to get a delicious dish of amazing trenette al pesto (pesto pasta). Red and white wine is on hand to enjoy with the meal, and Italian-style coffee with 'amaro' will close the show.
For anyone who is still hungry, we suggest a tiramisù or, if available, a panna cotta. The stroll to your next destination doesn't need to be done on foot - taxis are nearby.
