Genova in the Evening: VinoDivino - Wine Tasting Tour

To be truly Italian you must love the vine! With this in mind, we want to share with you what makes Italian wines so special on a slightly tipsy tour through the ancient streets of Genoa. 
Your evening begins with a walk through the historic heart of the city, admiring 16th century architecture and ancient palazzos as we begin to introduce you to the world of Italian viniculture. 
Our first stop is an authentic Italian enoteca that offers some of the best Italian labels on the market. Here we will try a selection of local wines, accompanied by traditional Italian snacks such as focaccia, olives, salami and whatever else is fresh that day. As you sip, we’ll chat to a wine expert and help you to understand the importance of the colour and aroma of the wine, not just the taste. 
Feeling suitably smug with your new-found knowledge on Italian wine (and a little light-headed), we’ll then take a stroll down one of the most important thoroughfares in Genoa, arriving at its most famous market. Il Mercato Orientale is proof under one roof of why Italian is the best cuisine in the world (in our humble opinion!).
We’ll stop here for another vino tasting, but this time we’re doing it in a different way: “alla spina!” as the locals call it, which means draught. We don’t want to say any more than that — you will just have to book the tour to find out more! 
Upon leaving the market, we’ll head over to Piazza De Ferrari, the main city square. As we walk, we’ll talk to you about the fascinating maritime history of the city and of its most famous son, Christopher Columbus. 
Our final tasting will take place in a charming restaurant and enoteca, where the sumptuous wines will be paired with some of the best local food the city has to offer.
