Itinerary
The tour starts off at one of the city’s unique monuments, the Musical Kiosk, where you will be greeted with a typical Ligurian breakfast of fresh focaccia and a cappuccino. The tour continues on to Rapallo’s vibrant food market to explore the produce and herbs that are featured in Ligurian recipes. You then move on to a pasta factory, where a local chef makes traditional stuffed pasta called pansoto; you will then try this pasta accompanied by a tasty, walnut sauce. Next, some street food; you will be introduced to focaccia formaggio, a cheesy, decadent treat, with a glass of local Vermentino wine. Next, we head to a Sicilian family restaurant for a refreshing sorbet. For the final stop, we stop in our own bottega, where she will teach you about the secrets of the Pesto al Mortaio and the history of Genova through its ingredients. Here you will experience pesto tasting, the tasting of a variety of local, Italian cheeses and meats, different extra virgin olive oils and Balsamic Vinegar with three different ageing periods, accompanied with a couple different types of local, artisanal wines to toast to the great memories made.
