About this activity
Our English speaking guide cum driver will collect you from your hotel around 9am and bring you to taste the Penang famous crispy airy Kaya toast freshly grilled over the charcoal fire and rich cuppa of Hainan coffee.

Then, you will head to Clan Jetty, situated close to Penang ferry terminal and part of George Town’s heritage legacy. You will wonder around to see some old unique wooden houses and shops stilts on the waters. You can get some local handmade souvenir and take some beautiful photos here.

From here, we will proceed to Penang most famous wall mural “Little Children on a Bicycle” and walk around the Armenian street. Explore the shops on this street that retained the original colonial era structure with some modern twist. This place is very popular for tourists who love contemporary street art.

Then, we will proceed to the longest cafe at Penang. We can have some drinks and cakes here. It is a traditional compound of 3 heritage buildings, linked by an open air courtyard and converted into 14 spaces comprising shops, cafes, restaurant, galleries, live music and bakery. They served very delicious home-made cakes and good coffees. 

Next, your guide will bring you try delicious Penang Asam Laksa which was ranked 7th in CNN’s World Top 10 Yummiest Food and famous Chendol located at Penang Road (at your own expense).

After filled up your hungry stomach, you will visit Pinang Peranakan Mansion. It is the typical home of a rich Baba of a century ago is recreated to offer a glimpse of their opulent lifestyle and of their many customs and traditions with over 1,000 pieces of antiques and collectibles of the era on display.

We will continue our tour to see the world's third largest Reclining Buddha in a Thai temple, Wat Chayamangkalaram (also known as Sleeping Buddha). Behind the reclining Buddha, you can see there are many niches, containing the ashes of devotees. There is also a small Thai village and a Thai cemetery just behind the temple.

You will be transferred back to your hotel safely after a wonderful experience in Penang.
