This was a great informative tour. My wife and myself enjoyed Paul’s tour talk about the different battles, etc
Gettysburg Bus Tour was full of information and very enjoyable. The guide tour was not only knowledgeable if the civil war but he had a great sense of humor.
Great trip great guide would do it again. Came from WV and Cal for the tour. Learned lots of new information about the batte
Dave, our tour guide on Wednesday, July 17 at 1:45 p.m. was first class, covered the overall battlefield scope with excellent description, pointed out relevant smaller items, answered all our questions precisely. Clearly, he understands the importance of Gettysburg to the Civil War and to U. S history. I add only one minor point in reference to his comments on General Meade, he said that this Commanding Union General at Gettysburg, after the battle except for Fort Meade in Maryland, named after him, had faded into obscurity. My small point has to do with the Meade School in Gettysburg, named after General Meade, an elementary school until 1992, when it was closed, later recycled into an excellent hotel, Federal Pointe, where we very comfortably stayed last Wednesday night. The name Meade School remains, carved in clear, large letters into the face of the building, facing east, I believe.
this was the first time we took the tour as we had friends from fl and thy enjoyed it very much. i had a grandson who went to gettysburg collage and he said it would be good tour.
It was our first visit since 1982 hubby's ancestors were a part of the 1th NJ Volunteers so our heart is definitely there. Our tour was on time, interesting, and the best choice for us. We were never rushed and our guide certainly knew his history.
Our tour guide, Mike, was very informative and fun to listen to.
Very informative guide. He made the tour much more enjoyable
The trip was both comfortable and highly informative. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area, events and details of the events that took place here. As a historian with my own expertise in the war, I was constantly amazed by the facts and details provided which extended my knowledge and provided a greater insight to the times and events of the period. My spouse is mobility challenged but the driver and guide insured that time and comfort was afforded her and other similar riders. All in all, a tour of superb value and quality. After talking to other visitors, this confirmed my opinion that it is the only tour I would recommend. Thanks
